I have been agonizing over putting together a pricing matrix for services. I would much rather "wing it" on a case-by-case basis. I know that is a recipe for failure.

This is a preliminary rate card, to be modified after I process a few orders that are pending.

CASE A: For me to open the case and examine the condition, there is a base cost of $10. If Micdoctor or you should decide it is not worth repairing, your mic will be sent back for $10 + Shipping with a report of condition.

CASE B: Upon examination and advisement, customer decides it is not worth it to repair. Micdoctor may make an offer to purchase the mic for cannibalization.

CASE C: Basic cosmetic refurbishment. Surface fine sanding and polishing. New shock mounts for cartridge and foam or black silk replacement.

CASE D: Custom cosmetic refurbishment. Case C plus custom silk over foam.

CASE E: Extended cosmetic refurbishment. Removal of corrosion or rust with chemicals, surface fine sanding and polishing. New shock mounts for cartridge and foam or black silk replacement.

CASE F: Electrical repair required. Either wiring broken or switch. Trace problem and repair. Test and resolder any suspect connections.

CASE G: Certified full refurbishment. Cosmetic, electrical, with a Micdoctor certificate of condition.
