As I sort my hermetically sealed bins of microphones, I come across gems I do not remember even ordering. I am now going through a period of sorting and deciding how many pieces I can manage. Since I bought most of the items on eBay, I usally attempt to sell them via that route.
I have sold quite a few, while still buying. An as Micdoctor became established, I started receiving emails from other mic collectors. Some had cable questions, refurb questions, and more. I enjoy helping others, whether I make a buck on it or not.
The Micdoctor Shop is a boutique where I will sell items offered on eBay, but not sold even after relisting. I will also offer additional items that will not be on eBay first.
This is not my primary occupation, I actually am building it all as a working prototype for my real company, Signal Seven Media.
I try to keep prices fair, many times less than my original investment. I figure it will all even out sooner or later.
Being an Electrical Engineer, I like to tinker with mics that others have bastardized over the lifetime of the mic. Being artistic, I like to create scuptures that include a microphone, as well as refurbish Shure 55 Elvis mics with exotic silks.
So look around and see if there is anything you like. I will be adding additional items all the time, even some electronic gear and guitars (yes, I collect them too.)
